Bharat Scouts and Guides

The Bharat Scouts & Guide is a Voluntary, non-political, educational Movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907 The purpose of the Movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international communities. Principles The Scout/ Guide Movement are based on the following principles: Duty to God, Duty to Others Duty to Self. The Scout/ Guide troop of TNA had registered with the State Council vide registration no. ST/50/88 (2nd April 1988) and GC/29/86 (28th June 1986). Awards: I) RAJYA PURUSKAR (Governor Certificate): It is the highest award or prize for scout and guide in the State level. 1 Scout & 1 Guide (2015) 1 Scout & 3 Guides (2016) II) RASTRAPATI PURUSKAR (President Certificate): It is the highest award or prize for scout and guide in the National level. Activities: Hike, Rally, Jamboree, Pioneering, Camping, Gadget Making, Singing, Dancing, Knotting, Estimation, Cooking, Compass, Mapping etc. Achievements: (1) 3 Teachers and 14 Students participated in Cultural Exchange Programme with Maharashtra and Goa in the year 2014. (2) 2 Teacher and 16 Students participated in Special Integration Camp held at Shillong, Meghalaya in the year 2015. TNA Won the five prizes in different events. (3) TNA Scouts and Guides contingent got the Special Prize on the Independence Day parade at Paljor Stadium 0n 15th Aug. 2015. (4) 1 Teacher and 5 students participated in the Educational & Cultural Exchange Programme with Rajasthan in the year 2016. TNA Interact Club

The Interact club of T.N.A was established on 14 th August 2011 under the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Gangtok South. Interact is basically a happy mix of a service club and a social society, a little of both but not too much of one. INTERACT CLUB fosters leadership and responsible citizenship and promotes international understanding and peace.

Photography Club

The Photography Club of TNA was established in 2012. Sikkim being a land blessed with natural beauty, the students are regularly taken out on trips. During all the important activities of the school, the photography club is always active. Be it a football match or a teacher’s farewell – the photography club is always ready to capture the important moments.Time and again we have experts from a variety of fields coming to the school and guiding the Photography Club students.
